About Us
Cedar Rapids Community Orchestra. Since 2013
We are a friendly group of volunteer violins, violas, cello, bass, harps, woodwinds, brass and percussion who enjoy making music together!
We Take a Great Amount of Pride in What We Do
Music is truly a universal language and CRCO proves that music is an intergenerational language as well. The CRCO brings together musicians of all ages, from High School graduates to retirees. Many members are new to their instrument or are returning after many years of rest.
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Cedar Rapids Community Orchestra is to provide opportunities for adult musicians of all musical ability to share, learn and advance musical interests to the social benefit of a broad sector of the local community through practice and performance of orchestra music. CRCO is committed to achieving musical excellence and diversity through live seasonal performances and other special performances at a variety of venues that are accessible, fun and nurturing environment that inspires individual talents and growth as performers.
Membership Dues
To help cover costs of such as printing/copying, insurance, and staffing, we ask that all members (non-Kirkwood/Coe students) pay dues each semester. If this creates a financial barrier to participating, please reach out to our board members- we don’t want this to keep anyone interested from joining the orchestra.
Dues are $25 for each semester and you can pay by check (in-person to Chris Faltis/Treasurer-Viola or via postal mail to P.O. Box 95, Cedar Rapids, IA 52406) or use the PayPal “donate” button and put “membership dues” in the comments section.
